UPDATED: January LD19 meeting reminder and information

Meeting will be held Thursday, January 19th, at Anzio Landing.  Meeting starts at 7:00pm and will be preceded by PC training at 6:00pm and a meet and greet at 6:30pm.  Our speaker is Bill Ponath, author of the book Verdict for America.  Mr. Ponath will speak on the topic of candidate selection.  You can find his full biography here.

We will also hear from various elected officials. Senate candidates Claire Van Steenwyck and Representative Jeff Flake currently plan to attend the meeting.

UPDATED: November LD19 Meeting Information and Location

The November District Meeting will be held November 17th at Anzio Landing, 2713 N Thunderbird Circle, Mesa 85215. PC training at 6:00, meet and greet 6:30, and meeting will start at 7:00. Speakers are Brad Zinn and AZ GOP Chair Tom Morrissey.

Brad Zinn co-chairs Verify The Vote, Arizona Elections Task Force in Arizona. The task force helped introduce and back legislation in this year’s session, and is now partnering with True The Vote in Houston to provide poll worker and poll watcher training.. Mr. Zinn also serves on the Board of Advisors of www.AnyStreet.org , and www.ArizonaMainstreamProject.org , as well as being a freelance reporter for www.WesternFreePress.com

Tom Morrissey is the current chairman of the Arizona State Republican Party.

LD19 Representative Justin Olson recognized as a “Rising Star” by the Arizona Liberty Project

The Arizona Liberty Project held its first annual Conservative Heroes Award Dinner September 23rd   2011.  The awards dinner was designed to honor the top conservative state legislators in both the House of Representatives and State Senate.

Legislative District 19 AZ House Representatives Justin Olson was recognized as a “Rising Star”.

Arizona Liberty Project (AZLP) Chairman Mark Spinks said “this group of conservative heroes and rising stars have worked hard to earn this coveted award.  They have been steadfast in their fight for conservative values and have worked diligently to make sureArizonabecomes the model for effective and efficient government.”

The Arizona Liberty Project mission is to promote and work toward a smaller, more efficient government that works within its constitutional authority, to champion the conservative cause, to raise awareness and involvement of the people and to engage the community through events, fundraisers and education.

Please congratulate Representative Olson at our next district meeting.

  1. Chairman Wayne Gardner has asked to be excused and is unable to be with us tonight and he has asked me, the first Vice-Chair to conduct this evening’s meeting.

  3. The Chair has not received any requests for resolutions or other official matters to come before the body this evening and so none will be considered at this meeting by the Chair. Further a quorum of 25% of the elected PCs is not present nor has any request been made with at least ten’s notice.

RESOLUTION SUPPORTING SENATOR PEARCE IN UPCOMING LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 18 RECALL ELECTION

WHEREAS, Senator Russell Pearce was duly elected by the voters of Arizona Legislative District 18; and

WHEREAS it is our belief that the recall election against Senator Russell Pearce in Arizona Legislative District 18 is an orchestrated assault against Republican principles, by liberal special interest groups; and

WHEREAS, the defeat of Senator Russell Pearce is a core objective of the Democratic National Committee and Moveon.org;

RESOLVED, we, the members of Arizona Legislative District 19, do hereby express our support of Senator Russell Pearce

Invitation to Constitution Week Celebration

September LD19 Meeting Reminder and Information

Greetings LD19 PCs,
We have a great LD19 meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 15, 2011. Please note the following:

LOCATION CHANGE

Our September 15th meeting will be held at Dreamland Villa Community Center/Reed Hall. The address is 320 N. 55th Place, Mesa, AZ 85205. We are still looking for a permanent meeting place.

MEETING SCHEDULE

6:00pm. Pat Oldroyd will conduct our PC orienteering class. For all you new PCs, and all you veteran PCs that would like to brush up on PC responsibilities, please attend. Valuable information will be conveyed.

6:30pm. Meet and greet

7:00pm. LD19 meeting will start

County Attorney / Constitutional Law Professor Shane Krauser and John Schnider will be our speakers. Shane is bringing his Constitutional Law Class of 25 – 30 students with him. Shane and John are both with the American Academy For Constitutional Education. It should be a great meeting! See you all on the 15th.

Reminder: The Republican Legislative District 19 meeting will be held Thursday, August 18 at Anzio’s Landing, located at 2613 N. Thunderbird Circle, Mesa, AZ, 85215. The regular meeting starts at 7 p.m. New PC training is held at 6 p.m. before the start of the regular meeting.
