June 7, 2012 at 7:00 PM PCs from LD19 who live in the new LD25 boundaries are to meet at the City of Mesa Utilities Building located at 640 N Mesa Drive, Mesa AZ 85201. LD19 is dissolved, and we will be reorganizing as LD25 and electing a new, interim board until the next election occurs. All elected PCs will remain PCs within their new legislative districts.
Please plan on attending and help spread the word.
This is an important meeting as we will be discussing the upcoming LD25 district reorganization as well as receiving a legislative-session-end summary from our lawmakers. LD18 has been invited to participate in this meeting as we and they are being combined to form the new LD25.
We will meet at RMMCC but due to summer remodeling our meeting will not be held in the Mesquite building usual location. Rather, it will be held in the performing arts room, S140. The room is in the Saguaro building which is just southwest of the Mesquite building where we usually meet. There are entrances into the Saguaro building on the west, north, and south sides. The S140 room is on the east end of the building.
See you at 7PM!
Below are the results from last nights caucus. The top 52 vote-getters will go to the convention as delegates, positions 53 through 68 are alternates. If a delegate cannot serve, an alternate will be chosen in sequence to take the delegates position.

Official Call
To The Special Meeting
Of The
Arizona Legislative District 19 Republican Committee
Fellow LD 19 Precinct Committeemen:
I, Wayne Gardner, Chairman of the District 19 Republican Committee, in accordance with the By-Laws of the Arizona and National GOP Organizations, do hereby officially call a Caucus to elect delegates to the Arizona State GOP Convention which will be held on May 12, 2012.
April 19, 2012
Maricopa Community College, Red Mountain Campus
7110 E. McKeilips Road
Mesa, Arizona
Registration will begin at 6:30 PM; the meeting will be called to order at 7:30 PM. You will need Photo identification for registration.
“Victory 2012”
There are a number of key events that have occurred and are coming up as we move down the path to “Victory 2012” in November. Mesa and the Arizona GOP received many accolades as the host of the GOP Debate in February. LD 19 approved a new set of by-laws at our last meeting. The new by-laws will guide our activity as we transition into the new LD 25 and next
election cycle. Haydee Dawson was elected as a new Area Leader and she brings a great deal of enthusiasm and activism to your board.
LD 19 Delegates to the Arizona State GOP Convention
The next step as we move to “Victory 2012” is for the District to elect delegates to the Arizona State GOP Convention which to be held on May 12, 2012 at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. The LD 19 delegate election will be held April 19, 2012 and conducted under by-laws adopted by the Arizona State GOP and the National GOP. Several key points:
- LD 19 can elect 52 delegates and up to 52 alternates for the 2012 Arizona State GOP Convention.
- Any GOP voter in the district is eligible to run as a delegate to the state convention.
- Only elected Precinct Committeemen and those appointed by the County Board before December 31, 2011 are eligible to vote.
- You must vote in person at the meeting – no proxies are allowed.
- The District/County Caucuses are covered by a unique set of by-laws drafted by the State GOP and National GOP; District and County by-laws are not applicable.
- The Caucus can only deal with the election…no other business can be conducted.2
- The State GOP will rigidly enforce the by-laws, any deviation could result in a loss of delegates, There may be a monitor at our meeting.
- E-mail is an acceptable method to deliver the call to our PC’s.
Ideally, a delegate candidate should be active within their district as a Precinct Committeeman or active volunteer in support of a candidate’s campaign.
If you wish to enter your name on the ballot for a LD 19 State Delegate Candidate please submit the following information via email to George Heidenblut at lassenmtnvote@cox.net, if you do not have email access contact George at 480-544-0425.

The Arizona State GOP and National GOP by-laws are listed at the end of this letter.
Arizona State GOP Convention Volunteers
The State GOP will need numerous volunteers to make the state convention successful; if you wish to help in this effort contact Alberto Gutier at 602-908-8900 or albertogutier@aol.com. You would find it very worthwhile to assist with the convention.

National Convention Delegate

National delegates must cover their own expenses, it is estimated the cost 3 to attend the National Convention is in excess of $3000. At this time the Arizona GOP has not been informed where the Arizona Delegation will be housed.
